Ocean Net IT Ltd – Broadband Terms & Conditions

Pricing & Billing

All prices exclude GST. Broadband services are prepaid and billed in advance, either pro-rata for the month of installation or in full for following months. Services can be cancelled at any time, but no refunds will be issued for unused days. A 30-day written notice is required for cancellations and will be billed accordingly. Installation fees may apply for ADSL/VDSL services depending on your setup. Please contact our support team for full details. Additional charges such as “no fault found” fees may be charged where appropriate.

Data Usage & Speed

Once you reach your plan’s data limit, your internet speed will be reduced to 256 kbps. However, Ocean Net IT voice traffic will not be slowed down. You can purchase additional 20GB data blocks for $15.00 each. These expire at the end of the month. On unlimited plans, you can use as much data as you like. However, to ensure a stable experience for all customers, we may apply traffic management policies during peak hours or high network usage. Speed and performance may vary depending on your location, equipment, and distance from your local exchange. Speeds to international servers or services outside our network are provided on a best-effort basis.

Network Fair Use & Responsibilities

Unlimited plans are designed for use by a single customer or household. Sharing the service with other customers or using it for hosting server farms is not allowed and may lead to service suspension. To maintain high-quality service for real-time applications like voice and video, we manage general internet traffic to reduce packet loss, jitter, and latency. Ocean Net IT reserves the right to prioritise or limit certain types of traffic to protect network performance for all users.

Coverage & Availability

Our broadband services are not available in all areas. Please check with us to confirm if your address is within our UFB coverage. All plans include a static IP address. You can choose a private IP (included) or a public IP (additional charges apply). Only one public IP is provided per connection.

Equipment

You may use your own VDSL-compatible modem/router, or purchase a Draytek router directly from us. Please ensure your equipment meets our technical requirements. Faults caused by unsupported equipment are the customer’s responsibility.

How to Sign Up

To sign up for broadband, you must have an Ocean Net IT account. Once set up, you can order services by logging into our customer portal and visiting the Broadband section.
